Motor drives

Our new motor drives filter family covers several application areas: LC/LCL filters, dUdT filters, commonmode reactors and harmonic chokes. The current range is from 4A to 2000A and our filters are easily mountable due to their compact size and mechanical flexibility. Nidecon filters are designed on customer specification to optimize the performance and to guarantee perfect fit into customer’s installation. We have filters for standard and high speed motor drives.  

 

LC/LCL filter

is used for energy decoupling and EMC filtering between grid and DC – link in regenerative drives and distributed power generation. Nidecon has developed a range of LCL filters that have low losses. LCL filter reduces overvoltages and overheating in motor side as well as the interference problems. We offer 3-phase and 3x1-phase filters and with currents up to 100A integrated sub-assemblies are possible beside separate chokes. In addition, input current THD is less than 5% and both of our efficient cooling concepts, integrated liquid cooling and air cooling, are available. Typical applications are standard and high speed motor drives, hoists, pumps and marine.

 

DUDT filter

is used for preventing motor stator winding and/or bearing failures caused by combination of fast switching inverter and long motor cables. Nidecon has developed a modular range of dUdT filters with integrated liquid cooling and forced air cooling. In our filters high bandwidth common mode filtering is as standard and voltage overshoot damping is guaranteed with various cable lengths.

 

Commonmode Reactor

is designed to attenuate commonmode currents. With our innovative technology we were able to design and manufacture liquid cooled commonmode reactor more advanced than before. Nidecon commonmode reactor has integrated differential inductance and current range 650-1000A. Because of its integrated liquid cooling system the reactor is very compact and loss transfer ratio to liquid is >90%. Due to the advanced cooling system and the reactor size the thermal management of the cabinet is simpler than ever before. Typical applications for liquid cooled commonmode reactors are motor drive applications with high EMC requirements such as totally transformerless marine electrical installations.

 

Harmonic Choke

is used for passive power factor correction i.e. to reduce harmonic currents. Nidecon’s harmonic filter range is optimized for compact form factor and modularity for easy installation.
