Nidecon has new innovative magnetic core, winding and cooling concept and set of tested design concepts to create various filtering solutions needed for renewable energy applications. We design and manufacture customized dUdT, LC and LCL filters to optimally fit into our customer’s installations. The filters are physically small and mechanically flexible thus making the integration into customer’s installation easy. In our products we use innovative cooling solutions: integrated liquid cooling with up to 95% loss transfer ratio to liquid and effective forced air cooling with hotspot elimination.
In wind power application LCL filters are needed for grid connection. dUdT filters are also often used in order to protect generator from high frequency effects. Optimization of the LCL filter and total power electronics system efficiency are important to maximize energy production capability of costly wind power generation investment.
Our dUdT filters limit the voltage overshoot and EMC noise. Due to the high bandwidth common mode attenuation in our filters the bearing currents stay low. Because of these reliable operation for the generator and the whole electrical installation is guaranteed. With our filters the reliability is high even with long cables between the converter and the generator.
Our LC and LCL filters limit the current harmonics to acceptable level. Due to the advanced concept we use, the power losses in filters are low and efficiency is high even when high switching frequency converters are used.
In Solar Power application LCL filters are needed for grid connection. Optimization of LCL filter and total power electronics system efficiency are important to maximize energy production capability of Solar Power investment.
In Fuel Cell Applications various special inductive components are used to maximize energy production capability of fuel cell investment.
